Meet the Owner

Laurie Hinton
 

Laurie Hinton's journey to the flooring industry is anything but ordinary. Born in Toronto, Canada, Laurie began playing the piano at just two years old and quickly demonstrated exceptional musical talent. She studied at the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music and had the opportunity to perform in various countries throughout her musical career. Her passion for music eventually led her to the University of Georgia, where she earned her degree in Music.
 

For more than 30 years, Laurie built a successful career as a piano teacher and professional musician, helping students develop their talents while continuing to perform and share her love of music. Her dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence became the foundation of her professional life.
 

After transitioning into the flooring industry, Laurie discovered a new passion for helping homeowners transform their spaces. Through years of hands-on experience, manufacturer training, and close relationships with flooring representatives, manufacturers, and installation professionals, she developed extensive knowledge of flooring products, design solutions, and installation best practices.
 

Drawing on both her customer-focused approach and industry expertise, Laurie founded ATL Classic Floors with a simple goal: to provide homeowners with a more personal, transparent, and convenient flooring experience.
 

Today, Laurie lives in the North Atlanta Suburbs with her husband, Neron, and is the proud mother of two grown daughters, Ava and Tinsley. She is also a devoted dog lover and shares her home with three beloved fur babies—Laci, Milo, and Alfie—who occasionally make appearances in ATL Classic Floors advertisements and social media posts. When she's not helping customers find the perfect flooring, Laurie enjoys sewing, cooking, and fostering dogs through Ruff Dog Rescue.
